Practices: Rain will not cause the coaching staff to delay or cancel practice. IF, however, there is thunder or lightning present, please use your judgment about coming to practice. We cannot use the pool until 30 minutes after the thunder/lightning stops. If you bring your child to practice, please wait with him/her while the coaches decide whether to delay or cancel practice.
Meets: Rain and thunderstorms will not cancel a swim meet!! Even if it is storming, bring your child(ren) to the meet. Every effort will be made by the coaches of both teams to swim the entire meet (although the same 30-minute rule about thunder/lightning applies). If children do not show up for a meet, the team will have to forfeit. In addition, if children leave the swim meet, and it is restarted, the team will be required to forfeit. Do not leave the meet until you receive the “okay” from the Head Coach. Thank you for your cooperation.
