BWH Bullfrogs: Sign-up to Volunteer for Divisionals: Thursday, June 27

Good morning Bullfrog Parents,
it is time to VOLUNTEER for DIVISIONALS!!

We are grateful to all our parent volunteers!

Please sign up here to volunteer on Thursday morning at Georgia Tech.
It is imperative you arrive on time for your position.
Some jobs listed differ from our normal swim meets, like Bullpen, please read the descriptions in your sign-up and listed again below. At GT there are two types of Bullpens. The first is the parent who manages and wrangles our swimmers in their seats up in the stand, brings them to the pool deck, etc. The second is an On-Deck Bullpen parent, these parents work with ALL the swim teams lining ALL the swimmers up for their races in rows of seats on either side of the pool depending on boys bullpen or girls, this is similar to a Deck Manager at our meets.

Here are the ASA descriptions for what we NEED to provide for the meet.

On-Deck Bullpen Workers -
(Report to the bullpen of the pool you are timing no later than the start of your session) They will work with our staging people to help like kids up in the staging areas and help transport swimmers to the blocks.

Timers -
(Report to the bullpen of the pool you are timing no later than 30 minutes before the start of your session). They are responsible for serving as backup timers for the timing equipment. TEAMS NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN STOPWATCH FOR EACH ASSIGNED TIMER. 2 people work each lane, one person works the stopwatch. The person works a backup button for the touchpad that they depress at the FINISH of the race, the button will arm automatically at the start of the race. The button pusher also records the stopwatch time on a clipboard (that we will provide) for each race.

Note: at GT Divisionals there are two pools, one for boys races, one for girls. Please notice this when signing up for which pool to time in. - RMM

Awards -
(Report to the timing and scoring room at the start of your session)
Stationed in the awards room off deck, they peel and stick labels on awards and put them in team boxes. They are not tied to that awards room for the entire session and have the ability to walk on deck to watch their kids swim.
Note: Sallie Topfl is signed up to do this - RMM

Here are descriptions for additional parent volunteers we would like to have in the stands and on-hand for the safety of our own BWH swimmers.
Bullpen (in Stands):
This year the team will be sitting in the stands for Thursday's Divisional Meet from 9am - 1pm. Bullpen parents will keep swimmers together, lined up, etc. Bullpen parents should be prepared and flexible to be available from 7.30am - 1pm (although the meet should end before 1pm).

Floater:
Floaters are able and willing to fill in wherever they are needed during the entire meet. A floater may be immediately put into a spot when coordinators are notified of an absence, or a floater could jump in during their shift in the event of a necessary change. Floaters need to make sure the Volunteer Coordinators know roughly where they can be found at the meet if they are not immediately placed upon their check-in.

Attached is a diagram of the GT set-up for the Divisional Meet on Thursday.

Please let us know if you have any questions OR if there are any requests you have to make your position run smoother on Thursday.
