2019 Registration Now Open
Dear BWH Swim Families,
Welcome to the 2019 Brookwood Hills swim season! We are excited to get another great season underway, and we have a lot of exciting news - so please read below!

We have the dates for our meets, but we do not have our schedule yet. Once the schedule is published in mid-April, we will update the website, and you will be able to sign-up for volunteer spots at that time.
Registration & Fees
Registration opens March 8 and runs through April 12. Registration on or after April 13 will incur an increased fee from ASA.
Fees will remain the same as last year- $230 for the first swimmer and $205 for each additional swimmer. Registrations after April 29 (the first day of practice) will incur a $20 late registration fee.
ASA fees will be $29.50 through April 12. This fee is required for all swimmers. ASA fees increase to $38.50 from April 13-June 1. After June 1, the fee will increase to $43.50. The ASA fee will be automatically added to your registration fee.
Dive Team:
Dive team and “swiver” fees remain the same as last year- $230 for each diver, $380 for “swivers” (athletes who participate on both swim and dive teams). Please contact Karen Sheldon ([email protected], 404-660-4236) with any dive team questions.
You may pay online (via WePay) or by check. Please let us know if you would like to pay by check ([email protected]).
Key Dates:
Swim meets will be held on Tuesdays again this year - May 28, June 4, 11, 18, and Monday, June 24 (due to Divisionals starting on Friday). Our competition schedule has not been determined yet, but we will let you know as soon as we find out from ASA (mid-April).
Divisionals will be on Friday afternoon, June 28, starting at 3 pm. Championships will be held on Saturday, June 29.

Practice Times
Age Group Practice Time - Afternoons (beginning April 29)
7&8: 4:30 - 5:30 pm
6 & Under: 5:30 - 6:00 pm
9&10 and 11&Up: 6:00 - 7:00pm
Age Group Practice Time - Mornings (beginning May 30th)
6 & Under: 9:00 - 9:30 am
7&8: 9:00 - 9:45 am
9/10 & Up: 9:45 - 11:00 am
Gear & Apparel
The swimsuit styles and logo will be the same as last year. You may try on sizes at the Meet & Greet (April 28 from 1-3pm) if you need to order a new suit. Links for ordering swimsuits (and fins) can be found here, at the team website under the “Merchandise” tab.
T-Shirts and latex swim caps will be given out at Meet & Greet. All swimmers
receive a t-shirt and a latex swim cap with their registration fee.
If your swimmer would like to order silicone caps, they may do so through the website. The cost is $25 for a set of two caps. These caps will have our logo, but personalization is not available this year.
Swim team coach information
Requirements for coaches:
- CPR/Lifeguard certifications. All prospective coaches will need to be 13-14 CPR / 15 + Lifeguard certified. Sweetwater has offered us a discount. Go to www.ilifeguard.net, click GET CERTIFIED and select ATLANTA to link to the Active website for registration. Use promo code BWHSWIM at checkout. Contact Coach Tim ASAP if you have problems.
- Coaches must be 13 years or older by the 1st day of practice (April 29) and certified in either CPR or Lifeguarding.
- Anyone interested in coaching should contact Coach Tim directly either by email- [email protected], or by phone- 404-307-1464.
- Interviews will begin Monday, April 1, 2019 and will be completed by Saturday, April 20, 2019. Our 1st coaches meeting will be Friday, April 26 2019 at 5pm at BWH.
- Must have swam on BWH last season AND must have competed in one of the following: a USA club program, a high school or middle school team, participated with Future Swim, or competed in water polo.
Sponsorships! Please let us know if your business is interested in sponsoring BWH swim team this year. There are three different levels of sponsorship. Contact Jen Webster if you are interested.
